Balance

Hormone optimization, built on your labs.

Being told your labs are “normal” while you feel exhausted, foggy, and unlike yourself is one of the most common reasons people come in. A reference range describes a population; it doesn’t describe you. We test comprehensively, read those results against your symptoms and history, and build a plan from both.

What brings people in

  • Persistent fatigue that sleep doesn’t fix
  • Brain fog or trouble concentrating
  • Low libido or changes in sexual function
  • Weight that won’t move despite real effort
  • Mood changes, irritability, or low motivation
  • Poor sleep, night sweats, or hot flashes
  • Loss of muscle tone or strength

Our approach

How we approach it

Hormones interact with thyroid function, metabolic health, sleep, and stress, so treating one number in isolation rarely works. The plan starts with a full picture and gets adjusted as your body responds.

01

Comprehensive testing

A full hormone and metabolic panel, including thyroid, rather than a single screening value. We look at the whole pattern.

02

A plan matched to you

Delivery method, dose, and cadence are chosen around your labs, your symptoms, and how you actually want to live — then explained in plain language.

03

Monitoring and adjustment

We repeat labs and check in on a schedule. Optimization is an ongoing process, not a single prescription.

What treatment can involve

Pellet therapy

Placed during an in-office visit, releasing steadily over time. A good fit for people who would rather not manage a daily or weekly routine.

Troches, patches & topicals

Flexible options when dosing needs to be adjusted more gradually, or when a non-pellet route simply suits you better.

Therapy for women

Estrogen and progesterone support, guided by your labs, your stage of life, and your symptoms.

Therapy for men

Testosterone optimization with ongoing monitoring of the markers that matter alongside it.

Thyroid support

Thyroid is assessed as part of the same picture, since it drives many of the symptoms people assume are “just hormones.”

Common questions

Hormone Optimization, answered.

How do I know if hormone therapy is right for me?

You don’t have to know before you come in — that’s what the first visit is for. We run a comprehensive hormone and metabolic panel, talk through your symptoms and history, and only then decide whether hormone therapy makes sense. Some people leave with a hormone plan; others leave with labs, a nutrition roadmap, and no medication at all.

What is the difference between pellets and other methods?

Pellets are placed during an in-office visit and release steadily over a period of months, which suits people who prefer not to manage an ongoing routine. Troches, patches, and topicals allow dosing to be adjusted more gradually. Neither is better in the abstract — the right choice depends on your labs, your symptoms, and your preferences.

How long before I feel different?

It varies a great deal between people and between therapies, and anyone who promises you a specific timeline is guessing. Some people notice changes in energy or sleep within a few weeks; for others it takes longer and needs an adjustment or two along the way. We repeat labs and check in specifically so the plan can keep pace.

Will my insurance cover it?

Membership and in-office services are self-pay. Prescriptions Madison writes are sent to the pharmacy you choose, so your insurance can be applied when it’s eligible. We’re happy to talk through what that looks like before you commit to anything.

Is hormone therapy safe?

Hormone therapy carries real risks and benefits that differ by person, by therapy, and by health history — which is exactly why it belongs in a monitored relationship rather than a one-off prescription. Madison will go through what applies to your situation, what we’ll monitor, and what would cause us to change course.
